The director crafted a fantasy movie world, seamlessly blending real life with dreams, the modern with the old-school, and the present with memories. It also beautifully intertwines human civilization with nature and uses stunning visuals to tell this captivating tale. The movie might initially seem slow-paced, but it is packed with deep emotions. This film might be a bit more straightforward than its predecessor, but since I dozed off during the other two of the director's films, this new one definitely has some special charm.

This movie is really poetic and grown-up, with a script that totally nails how people feel when they're half asleep. It paints this elaborate fantasy world with simple camera work, conjuring up lively scenes even in a bland setting. There's so much potential in every frame. And yeah, it made me wanna doze off.

Hypnotic suggestions are cleverly employed in this film while helping distinguish between dreams and reality and create a concept of multiple timelines. Towards the end, the movie uses time and the soldier's body as metaphors for the political landscape. It's a movie that really challenges viewers to use their imagination, follow their subconscious and be perceptive while watching. This is on a whole 'nother level and a complete trip to the "other" side, whatever side that is, and I don't care what side you're on right now, this film is the other one. It's definitely not an easy watch and not for everybody, there are several complex themes and points being discussed that can and will go right over your head if you're not on your toes. You really have to step into this particular world, but once you do, it's an astounding experience. Visually, it's just a bewildering work of art in an of itself, all in all coining Weerasethakul as an original to watch.

Pinta un mundo fantástico elaborado con un trabajo simple de cámaras y hace que aparezcan escenas vívidas incluso en un escenario insípido. Hay mucho potencial en cada cuadro. Y sí, me dio ganas de dormirme.
