Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)★ 7.0/10

A disappointingly mediocre movie that makes for a regrettable conclusion to Phase Four of MCU. The death of Chadwick Boseman, the original Black Panther, casts a mournful tone over the film, and the soul of the Black Panther series is now gone.

The original score of the film is outstanding, compelling me to listen to it on repeat. The movie strikes a perfect balance between its duration and narrative pace, though the climactic battle ends rather abruptly. The film instills a sense of suspense which is at times akin to a thriller, and especially evident in the scenes where the protagonist enters the ancestral plane. With a runtime of around 160 minutes, the film has ample time to develop and enhance its characters, particularly the lead, whose emotional depth is well-fleshed out as the story revolves around her. The performance could have been elevated with better acting though.

It is a 6 stars film, but the trailer is worth three stars. The biggest problem of the film is that emotional coherence is sacrificed for the amount of information. And there is always a lack of ignition moments. I didn't see imagination at all. When will the outdated comedy stalks be changed? Then, spoiler warning! After Danai Gurira exported the "female power" with an entire film, a surprise tells you that Black Panther actually has a son. This "man" may be the real orthodox heir. If the development is really going down like this. This kind of hypocrisy is, of course, worthy of anger. It is true that Gurira is not a very successful character, but her character growth and complexity are at least to a certain extent. The female group image built around her is in any case more powerful than a so-called male who is qualified to "inherit the great line".

It's like watching a trailer of Avatar 2: The Way of Water for more than two hours.

I didn’t figure out why they insisted on fighting when they could have communicated well and settled the conflict quickly. However, at the end of the fight, they suddenly made peace with each other because of a few casual words. Did the princess, after all she had done with the villain, never think of a solution? The two camps, good and evil, sent gorgeous clothes, sent mother's belongings, and saw each other's world together, and shared secrets of life, is really unnecessary.

Me gusta

A trilha sonora original é excelente!
